Any student who has accumulated 50 or more hours in community service may be eligible for a community service award. For more information please see Mr. Dawson or Mrs. Hipps in Guidance.

 

The Pittsburgh National College Fair is scheduled for Wednesday, February 8th from 6 PM to 9 PM. Interested Juniors and Seniors can stop in Guidance for a brochure.

 

Any Senior who will attend California University of PA next year should see Mr. Dawson.

 

Seniors who are pursing a degree in a Health Care Field are to see Mr. Dawson about possible scholarship opportunities.

 

Carrie Ann’s Bridal Boutique is sponsoring a contest to win a free prom dress. Interested junior and senior girls should see Miss Kunkle in 107 for more details.

 SPRING SPORT PHYSICALS

Dr. Shaker will be here to do school spring sports physicals on Friday, February 17th. If you are planning to have your physical done at school by Dr. Shaker--the forms MUST be turned into the nurse by Friday, February 10th.  NO FORMS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE 10TH--NO EXCEPTIONS.  If planning to have a private physical done--the physical must be done and forms turned in by March 5th. 


 

IMMUNIZATION  INFORMATION
Students in 7th grade will also need one (1) dose of tetanus diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) if 5 years has elapsed since the last tetanus immunization and one (1) dose of meningococcal vaccine (MCV). After the immunization has been given, please provide your school nurse written verification from your child's doctor.

 

Attention Parents--Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, students in all grades (kindergarten through 12th grade) will need a second varicella (chicken pox) immunization unless they have had the disease.
