Our School is located on State Route 31.  The school is approximately 3 miles from Route 70.  Exit Route 70 at the
Mt. Pleasant Exit (51A), Route 31 East.  School is on the left hand side.

Happy New Year!

 May I begin by wishing everyone a Healthy and Happy New Year.  With the start of a new year, we have all set goals for ourselves.  It is also important for children to establish goals.  Your child’s best chance for success happens with goals that he or she understands, likes, and believes.  Here are some tips for setting and achieving them:

Work on goals one at a time.
For example, an initial goal might be to increase study time.  The next goal may be to raise test scores.  A final goal may be to earn a better report card. 

Notice efforts, not just results.
You might say, “I can tell you’re concentrating for longer periods of time this week.”  Remember that progress happens in small steps.

 Be flexible when necessary.
Scale back if your child is trying hard but seems frustrated.  For instance, doing 20 math practice problems a night may be too much.  Try 5 or 10.

 Give specific compliments.
Recognize and celebrate the small accomplishments.  

Everyone needs goals!  Your child’s goals are your goals!!

    Parent Portal 

     New log-in and password letters for the Parent Portal were mailed home.  If you did not receive a Parent Portal letter, you may stop in at the Middle School office and pick up one for your student or have your student stop in the office for a copy.  No Parent Portal log-ins or passwords will be given over the phone.  The Parent Portal will be available for your use after August 26.
