Mission Statement of the Yough School District
The district will promote community partnerships by encouraging participation in school activities. Communication will occur through technology (e-mails and/or the District web site), building newsletters, building advisory committees (held twice each year), local newspapers and other forms of personal communication.
 
In a safe environment that encourages respect for self and others, all students will receive an aligned, standards-based curriculum monitored through benchmark and curricular assessments structured around best research practices in order to prepare them to meet the needs of a changing world. Technology will enhance the learning process in order to prepare students for the future and promote life-long learning.
 
Professional development will be based upon data-based instructional strategies to ensure success for each individual and will be monitored through needs assessments.

The Yough School District in partnership with the Yough Community will instill a desire for life-long learning by providing an aligned curriculum that facilitates thinking and questioning in a safe, positive environment-meeting the needs of ALL students so they may continue to realize their fullest potential.
